Our finance department needs a reliable Accounting Assistant who doesn’t mind putting in overtime, especially around the end of the month. The ideal candidate will be capable of learning our system with minimal supervision. He or she should be extremely organized and have great time management skills. In addition to serving the finance department, the applicant will also work with the purchasing and inventory department on occasion. The Accounting Assistant will report to the Accounts Manager and work with the team to accomplish interdepartmental goals and quotas.
Accounting Assistant Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update general ledger and sales journal
- Assisting with audits, fact checks, and resolving discrepancies.
- Processing transactions, issuing checks, and updating ledgers, budgets, etc.
- Preparing financial reports.
- Handling communications with clients and vendors via phone, email, and in-person.
- Providing support to the Accounting Department.
- Performing basic office tasks, such as filing, data entry, answering phones, processing mail, etc.
Accounting Assistant Requirements:
- Minimum qualification B.Com
- Proficiency with computers and bookkeeping software like Quick books ERP
- Strong typing skills.
- Exceptional time management and verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with basic Accounting principles.
- Professional manner and strong ethical code.
- Ability to multitask and remain motivated and positive.
- Commitment to working efficiently and accurately.
